Living and studying in a foreign country means getting to know new people, their culture and history. The subject of ´Architecture and Society´ will give the students an overview about that topic.

To learn more about Germany, its geography and language will be one important part of studying at Anhalt University. Therefore, students will take a specific language class in order to learn and practice their German language skills.

To get familiar with the history and culture of the area. the tours inside and around Dessau will be mainly focused on Bauhaus architecture. Here, the traces of modernism can be experienced in their authentic way.

They say the inhabitants of Dessau are already born with a bicycle. For our American students, using a bicycle as a main means of transportation will be a totally new experience. A bicycle tour will lead us through the Dessau-Woerlitz-Garden Realm, an exemplary statement of English landscaping in connection with classicistic and neogothic architecture.
